2009 SEMA ShowRecession or not, the car tuning world still forges forward. One of the best indicators of the state of the tuning world is the annual SEMA show in Las Vegas, Nevada. Obviously, things aren’t nearly as vibrant as they use to be, as companies big and small have scaled down or taken a break all together.

This year’s show stopper was without a doubt the new 2010 Chevy Camaro. We lost count after 40, but it could be said that one out of every

five cars at the show was the Camaro, which means domestic tuning is still strong. On the import side, the Hyundai Genesis and Nissan GT-R still represented strongly as well as the new BMW M3.

Even with the downturn, the KW hype has managed to grow with representation on race cars, show cars and street sedans alike. In a strategic partnership with Seibon Carbon Fiber Products, the two companies worked together with car builders to create some of the top favorites at the show including Nic Ashby’s Sony Grand Turismo award winning National Guard Carbon Camaro, Hankook/Dynamic Autosports’ Drift GT-R and Rhys Millen’s mid-engine V8 Hyundai Genesis.

Thanks to German tuning site and online community www.Tuningsuche.de, we have some special show coverage and interviews with KW equipped vehicles at this years SEMA show.
