Chicago is rittled with car enthusiasts and with them come the good, the bad and the ugly. Ugly cars, or the "Dumb and Delirious" cars, to often stand out much more than the good ones. So, who drives these cars and why? It was a great summer day nearing the Taste of Chicago and I was strolling down Lake Shore Drive. Lake Shore Drive in the Summertime is known for hot women and cars, but you do get the occasional car with looks that not even a mother could love. I was quick on the draw to take a snap shot of this "Dumb and Delirious" ugly car and thus begins "Dumb and Delirious: Chicago"
We've all seen the cars that attempt to do what only they can do on "Pimp my Ride" yet on a smaller budget. Most often the results are not good. Who wants to drive this kind of attention to their cars? Not me. Police are sure to pull over ugly cars like the ones that will be gracing our website because if you think about it, you'd have to be high on something to "pimp your car" like this.
Cars like these have even given rise to one of my favorite commercials by Volkswagen, "Unpimp My Ride". In the commercials unsuspecting owners of "pimped cars" get a "unpimping" by a German VW engineer. The commercials feature such pimped cars with spoilers that look like they could fly or a car named "The Flame" in which the owner recieves an "F".
