There's often a myriad of praise for both Stance Coilovers and KW Suspension Coilovers, and there's also a myriad of complaints.  Often the complaints come from the lack of knowledge by the consumer.  You can never go by the recommendation of your neighbor or listen to the gripes by your kid's teacher.  It really comes down to knowing what you want to accomplish with your car.  We examine the Stance GR+ Coilovers and the KW Suspension Coilovers, so you can avoid a case of the gripes and make a choice with a grin.

Question #1:  What is the car being used for? or why are you purchasing coilovers?  Normally people will fall into one of these three categories:

• Street
• Mix of Street & Track Racing
• Pure track racing

If you answered the question with STREET, then you'd start to look at a few questions:
1.  What do you want your comfort level to be?  Do you want to ride low, yet still not hit your head on your ceiling when going over bumps? Or do you still like the harsh ride.  Some people out there do, in fact, like to think they are racing every where they go on the street and want that harsh ride along with the better handling.

"I just want to throw the coilovers in my car and leave them at one height and never adjust them":  If this is the case for you, and money is an issue, the best bang for the buck would be the Stance Coilovers.  The Stance Coilovers are going to be much less in cost for the everyday driver, easy to use, and have a lower ride height than all KW Suspensions Coilovers. 

The next question one would ask is, "What's the difference between the Stance GR+, GR+ Pro and KW Variant 1?"  Well, the GR+ Pro has the added benefit of a helper spring in which the GR+ does not have the helper spring. "So what's a helper spring?"  A helper spring allows the shock piston to be placed in the optimal position within the shock body, increasing rebound stroke, and maximizing articulation on cars with minimum suspension travel. In laymen terms, it's going to make your ride a little smoother.

Now if money is not an object the KW Suspension Variant 1's are the choice.  This is the entry coilovers system from KW Suspensions.  The KW's in most cases are going to be smoother, but it also depends on your vehicle.  Ride height adjustability is not as good as the Stance GR series, and will not go as low as the Stance, but the KW's are known to be simple and very easy to use when lowering or raising the height.

Street Coilover Recommendations:

If you are saying to yourself, "I want to drive my car on the street and still maintain some smoothness in my life." GR+Pro SSD , Variant 2 ,  KW Clubsport Coilovers , or KW Street Comfort. would be some of your selections.  KW incorporates progressive springs, which are smoother that linear springs, but linear springs are more predictable and a little quicker in reaction to stearing imputs.  Variant is known for dominating the 24 Hours of Nurburgring, which us at THMotorsports, got to see first hand.

Street & Track Coilover Recommendations:
